Michael has recently joined our Edmonton office as an articling student in 2020. Michael attended law school and obtained his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in beautiful Kamloops, BC. While in law school, Michael was regarded as a skilled Mooter and represented TRU at moot competitions against the other BC law schools. Michael was TRU’s Environmental Negotiation Champion in 2018, competing against 29 other teams from TRU Law.

Michael is an avid athlete and world traveler. During his time in law school, he captained numerous intramural sports teams to championships in soccer, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and badminton. Before and during his time in law school, Michael would use his time off in the summer to go backpacking around various parts of Europe, Asia and Africa, and has had the opportunity to visit over 30 countries!

Michael was Born in Mahalla, Egypt, and immigrated with his family to Vancouver at an early age where he grew up and attended school. Michael obtained his BA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, where he also captained various intramural sports teams and participated in the Exchange program, spending 4 months in Prague, Czech Republic. Michael has had the opportunity to work for various legal organizations and has found he enjoys a variety of areas of law, including real estate, family, corporate, employment, wills & estates, and civil litigation, all of which Michael hopes to pursue in his own career.
