Alan Hong is an associate practising business law, real estate, wills and estates, and civil litigation. Alan advises on all aspects of corporate-commercial and property law, with a focus on private corporations in connection with various transactions, ongoing governance issues, and disputes.
Alan represents clients in residential and commercial real estate, construction, security enforcement and foreclosure, technology and intellectual property, estates, employment and various commercial contract matters and disputes. Not only does Alan understand each client’s industry and objectives to deliver creative solutions tailored to each business needs at all stages of growth, clients also appreciate his pragmatic, strategic and rational approach to dispute resolution.
Prior to his legal career, Alan was patent review officer at the Korean Intellectual Property Office, international trade policy analyst for the Government of British Columbia’s Trade Office (Seoul), and co-director of an international education consulting firm.
Born in South Korea and having lived in Malaysia, Western Canada, Quebec, and Taiwan, Alan is fluent in English, Korean, French, and Mandarin Chinese.
Outside of law, Alan is a tech and basketball aficionado, and enjoys singing and playing guitar.
